History - The Northern
Neck Orchestra was founded in 1991 and is made up of talented local
musicians, student musicians, and a number of professional musicians
who fill out the instrumentation as needed for any given program. The
Orchestra is managed by an all volunteer board of directors and is
funded by private citizens, local businesses, and the Rappahannock
Foundation for the Arts.
Performances
- The Orchestra usually performs two concerts per year. Over the years,
the Orchestra has performed music ranging from Mozart and Vivaldi
Concertos and Beethoven Symphonies, to Showcase Concerts including
choral selections, to Pops Concerts. Click on the Performances link to
review our repertoire and obtain information about our upcoming
concerts. The Orchestra is currently seeking volunteers with orchestral
musical experience.
